2. (v. t.) To stand with the legs wide apart; to straddle.

3. (v. t.) To pass over at a step; to step over.

4. (v. t.) To straddle; to bestride.

5. (n.) The act of striding; a long step; the space measured by a long step; as, a masculine stride.
