International Standard Bible Encyclopedia SEPARATION sep-a-ra'-shun: In the Pentateuch the word niddah specially points to a state of ceremonial uncleanness (Leviticus 12:2, 5; Leviticus 15:20 Numbers 6:4; 12:13; 19:21).
