1. (imp. & p. p.) of Rag.

2. (n.) Rent or worn into tatters, or till the texture is broken; as, a ragged coat; a ragged sail.

3. (n.) Broken with rough edges; having jags; uneven; rough; jagged; as, ragged rocks.

4. (n.) Hence, harsh and disagreeable to the ear; dissonant.

5. (n.) Wearing tattered clothes; as, a ragged fellow.

6. (n.) Rough; shaggy; rugged.
