ALWAY; ALWAYS

ol'-way, ol'-waz (archaic and poetic): Properly applied to acts or states perpetually occurring, but not necessarily continuous. In Hebrew, most frequently, tamiydh. In Greek dia pantos, ordinarily expresses continuity. In Matthew 28:20 "alway" the King James Version, the Revised Version (British and American) "always," translation Greek pasas tas hemeras, "all the days," corresponding to the Hebrew idiom similarly rendered in Deuteronomy 5:29; Deuteronomy 6:24; Deuteronomy 11:1; Deuteronomy 28:33 1 Kings 11:36, etc. Greek aei in Acts 7:51 2 Corinthians 6:10; 1 Peter 3:15, means "at every and any time."
